Captain Boola’s Reel Tite Fishing Guide Service specializes in fishing charters in the bays, bayous, and marshes of Venice, Louisiana.

On a typical fishing trip, we leave the dock at safe light, traveling through the delta, where you'll encounter plenty of wildlife and wetlands on the way to the fishing hole. Venice, LA, is a place like no other! We catch Redfish year-round and offer unparalleled fishing action, including Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and more. Current limits are:

  • 4 Redfish (18″-27″) per angler

  • 5 BlackDrum (16”-27”) per angler

  • 15 Speckled Trout (13″ with 2 exceeding 20″) per angler

  • 10 Flounder (No size limit) per angler

  • Sheepshead (No limits)

Whether you want to catch and release or fill your cooler, we’ll do our very best to accommodate you.

Once we’re done fishing, we will head back to the marina, where Venice Marina offers fish cleaning, vacuum sealing, and shipping for your catch.

Fishing Gear and Equipment

We will fish out of a MAJEK 25+ Xtreme bay boat, powered by a 300 four-stroke Yamaha. The Majek Xtreme is sleek, low-sided, and fast—perfect for tournament-style bay fishing. It’s one of the shallowest drafting V-hull boats on the market, making it ideal for the shallow backwaters, bays, and even nearshore fishing.

What You Need to Bring

  • Valid Louisiana Fishing License: Non-residents need a Charter Passenger License (3-day). Obtain it online at Louisiana Fishing Licenses and Permits. An authorization number will be provided for immediate use, and licenses can also be printed.

  • Recommended Items:

    • Rain suit

    • Sunglasses (polarized for better sight casting)

    • Sunblock

    • Hat

    • Food and drinks (beer is allowed if you choose to bring it)

    • Ice chest (to transport your cleaned fish home)

You are welcome to bring your own rod and reel if you prefer.

Terms and Cancellation Policy

  • 50% Reservation Deposit Required: Balance is due prior to departure by cash, check, or credit card. Reserved dates are held for one week to allow deposit checks to arrive.

  • Cancellation Policy:

    • Charters canceled with less than 30 days' notice forfeit the deposit.

    • Charters canceled with more than 30 days' notice will have the deposit applied to a rescheduled trip.

  • Weather Policy: If the weather in Venice is fishable on the day of your charter, the trip proceeds as scheduled. If not, the charter will be rescheduled or your deposit refunded.
